Paris: Chez Laurant, ND. Paper portfolio. Four paper portfolios, each containing 20 hand colored women’s fashion designs. The portfolios correspond to different time periods: 1795–1820, 1820–1845, 1845–1870, and 1870–1900. The wrappers for each are discolored, worn, and splitting at the edges, though largely intact except for the last one which lacks the front panel; the rear panel and flap are present but detached from one another. The plates themselves are all present, clean and crisp, printed on sturdy stock. Each measures 3” x 3.75”.
